A letter from Viktoria

Dear KORRHAUS community,

Pilates has been part of my life for many years. I have taught in studios around Amsterdam for a long time, and I still love being there: the focus during a class, the conversations before and afterwards, and the community that grows around a studio.

KORRHAUS began in that environment.

I wanted to create grip socks that worked well during a class, but didn't look or feel like purely technical equipment. They had to be comfortable, supportive and reliable, while still being something I would enjoy wearing myself.

I am a BASI-certified Pilates instructor, but it is teaching week after week that keeps me close to what people actually want from their socks. I hear which pairs become favourites, see which details people notice and speak directly with studio owners about what works for their clients.

That experience goes into every KORRHAUS design. We pay attention to how the fabric feels, how the sock fits around the foot, where the grip is placed and how cushioning and arch support contribute to comfort. We use a thick, supportive knit, half-terry cushioning and soft cotton yarn certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

The practical details matter, but I never wanted KORRHAUS to feel too serious.

I love designing socks with personality: hearts, stripes, bows, soft colours and small details that make a pair feel special. Some people always choose calm, neutral styles. Others immediately reach for pink hearts or ballerina-inspired socks. Both belong at KORRHAUS.

As the collection grew, more studio owners started asking whether they could create socks of their own. That felt like a natural next step. A studio has its own atmosphere, colours and community, and it is lovely to see those elements come together in a design their clients can wear.

Some studios stock the existing KORRHAUS collection. Others create a custom design with their own colours and logo. Many choose to offer both. Our online designer was created to make that process clearer and allow studios to see their ideas take shape before production begins.

Even as KORRHAUS grows, I want it to remain connected to the place where it started: the Pilates studio. It is where our socks are worn, where I receive the most honest feedback and where many new ideas begin.
